2011 RNI Amendments to Sailing Instructions

Amendment to the Sailing Instructions 
 
Amendment 1
 
15.2
 
It will now read;
 
Compulsory radio skeds will be held twice daily on SSB channel 4146 @ 0703 each morning and at 1903 each evening. These skeds will be run by Taupo Maritime Radio. These skeds will be run on SSB. VHF channel 16 may be used if SSB is not connecting.  Those using Satellite communication must call Taupo Maritime radio on (04) 9148333.
The 18 boats using satellite phones will be split into 3 groups of 6.
 
The first group of 6 is :NAME (Boat No.): "Gale Force (1)", "Nonstop (4)", "Andar (5)", "Bird On The Wing (6)", "Windarra (7)" and "Clear Vision ( 8 )".
This group will call Taupo Maritime Radio on (04) 9148333 between 0615hrs and 0630hrs for the morning sked and between 1815hrs and 1830hrs for the evening sked.
 
The second group of 6 is; "Mix T Motions (11)", "Caro Vita (14)", "Fiction (15)", "Karma Police (16)", "Second Nature (19)" and "Overload (25)".
This group will call Taupo Maritime Radio on (04) 9148333 between 0630hrs and 0645hrs for the morning sked and between 1830hrs and 1845hrs for the evening sked.
 
The third group of 6 is; "Bon Chanse (26)", "Akatea (27)", "Valium (28)", "The Night Train (30)", "Fineline (35)" and "Spirit (36)".
This group will call Taupo Maritime Radio on (04) 9148333 between 0645hrs and 0700hrs for the morning sked and between 1845hrs and 1900hrs for the evening sked
 
The boats using SSB will then begin their skeds at the prescribed times as they are called.  The positions of the above 18 boats may be relayed on SSB 4146 at 0700hrs and 1900hrs.
 
 
 
Amendment 2
 
Add 15.17
A boat shall not receive radio communications that are not available to all boats. Boats are permitted to communicate with media/facebook/twitter/SSANZ officials for the purpose of publicity and promotion but NOT to gain information to help their performance.

This group will call Taupo Maritime Radio on (04) 9148333 between 0615hrs and 0630hrs for the morning sked and between 1815hrs and 1830hrs for the evening sked.
